Tech, Talks & Tonic: Real Conversations Over Real Drinks

Zero slides. Zero podiums. 100% real talk. 🥂 I had the honor of joining NUS Business School's first MBA Tech Night - Tech, Talks & Tonic - and it reminded me why the best conversations often happen when you put away the presentation deck.

A Different Kind of Tech Event

The format was refreshingly simple: cozy setting, candid stories, and practical wisdom from leaders across the region. No stages. No scripts. Just real people sharing what they've learned in the trenches.

What a vibe. The energy in the room was warm, curious, and generous - exactly what happens when you create space for authentic exchange instead of polished performance.

Why This Matters

In tech, we spend so much time optimizing for scale and efficiency. But leadership wisdom? That still transfers best human-to-human, story-to-story.

Events like this - especially ones that center diverse voices and lived experiences - are how we build the next generation of leaders who understand that technology is only as good as the humans who shape it.

Gratitude & Community

Huge kudos to the NUS MBA Tech Club and D&I Club for making this happen. It takes vision and effort to create spaces where people feel safe to share openly - and you nailed it.

To everyone who showed up and brought their stories: thank you. These conversations ripple further than we realize.

More real talk, less podium theater. That's the kind of tech community I want to keep building. 🌟
