Is Enterprise Architecture Ready for Autonomous AI?

Moderating a panel on governance, risk, and the shift from advisory to autonomous systems

AI has moved from advisory to autonomous decision-making, and one question keeps surfacing in every boardroom and architecture review I'm part of: How are our EA frameworks actually ready for this shift? 🤖

That's the question I'll be putting to four brilliant minds next Friday at the Business IT Architecture Conference in Singapore.

Governance, accountability, risk control, strategic alignment - these aren't just checkboxes anymore. They're the foundation that will determine whether AI adoption scales sustainably or creates chaos.

The shift to autonomous systems

We've spent years building enterprise architecture frameworks around systems that advise. Now we're architecting for systems that decide.

Agentic AI doesn't wait for human approval on every step. It reasons, it acts, it learns. And that changes everything about how we think about control planes, audit trails, and accountability. ⚖️

The enterprises that get this right will scale AI sustainably. The ones that don't? They'll face chaos - technical debt, compliance gaps, and eroded trust.

Who's joining the conversation

I'm honored to be moderating this panel with an incredible lineup of leaders who are navigating these challenges in real time, across healthcare, banking, and enterprise platforms:

  • 🔹 Nitin Maheshwari, PMP, TOGAF - Director, Chief Architect's Office, Synapxe
  • 🔹 Senthil Loganathan - Global Head, Cloud Platform & Architecture, Standard Chartered Bank
  • 🔹 Srivatsan TA - Executive Director, Architecture, Engineering, DevOps & Enterprise Generative AI Platform Lead, United Overseas Bank
  • 🔹 Gia Thi Nguyen - Head, Solution Advisory, APAC SAP Business Transformation Management

Expect candid insights, real-world lessons, and the kind of conversation that only happens when practitioners get in a room together. 🔥

What we'll unpack

How do you govern an AI agent that makes decisions in milliseconds? How do you audit a system that's constantly learning? How do you align autonomous behavior with strategic intent?

These aren't theoretical questions. They're the ones keeping architecture leaders up at night.

We'll dig into governance models, risk frameworks, and the practical patterns that are working - and the ones that aren't. 🎯
