Empowering Women in AI: Notes from the Singlife ML-MLOPS Accelerator
Why diversity of perspective is critical for effective AI

Today I had the pleasure of hosting wonderful women from Singlife for the third session of our AI ML-MLOPS Accelerator training. 💡 As we all know, diversity of perspective is critical for effective AI - and prioritizing it is essential.
Why Diversity in AI Matters
I believe that empowering women and unlocking their potential in AI will help us overcome one of the biggest challenges of this technology.
When we build AI systems, we're encoding decisions that affect millions of people. If the teams building those systems all think alike, we miss critical perspectives. We build blind spots into the technology itself.
That's why it's so encouraging to see businesses in Singapore providing professional development opportunities for women interested in AI. These aren't just training sessions - they're investments in building more effective, more human-centered AI.
Gratitude for the Team
This work doesn't happen alone. I want to express my deep gratitude to my colleagues who made this accelerator possible:
🔹 Indrajit Ghosalkar and Benjamin Fheng for co-leading the training with expertise and care
🔹 Sid Bhandari for his tireless advocacy
🔹 Samuel Chu, Romil Sharma, Sam Simopoulos, Yean Ping Yar, Priscilla Chong, Michelle Toh, Andrew Mulligan, and Joel H. Garcia for leadership guidance and support
These opportunities matter. When we invest in diverse talent, we don't just build better AI - we build a more inclusive future for the technology itself.
More to come as this cohort continues their journey. 🙏
