The future of AI must be built by everyone - and that includes more women at the table. 🚀 I'm excited to share an upcoming event that embodies this belief: Empowering Women in AI Careers. An afternoon dedicated to real conversations, practical insights, and meaningful connections - featuring panel discussions, mentorship speed networking, and an AI showcase.

Why This Matters Now

AI is evolving rapidly. The question is: Are we building diverse leadership as fast as we're building the technology?

I believe the answer must be yes. And the data tells us we're making progress - but there's still work to do. Women in Singapore make up 28% of AI professionals, slightly higher than the global average of 26%. Even more encouraging: female enrollment in GenAI courses surged 253% in 2024, outpacing 168% among men.

That momentum matters. It tells us that when women see a path forward, they take it. Our job is to make sure those paths are clear, accessible, and supported by real community.

Singapore's Growing Ecosystem

Singapore is already leading the way in Southeast Asia. The city-state boasts 936 women-owned startups, far surpassing Jakarta (173), Kuala Lumpur (107), Bangkok (67), and Metro Manila (62).

And the commitment to gender diversity in tech runs deep here. With 40% of women in technology, Singapore remains at the forefront of promoting gender diversity in tech within Southeast Asia. The SG100 Women in Tech 2023 list received 800 nominations - an increase of almost one-third from the 2021 edition.

These aren't just numbers. They represent real women building real solutions, leading teams, and shaping the future of technology. And they prove that when we create the right conditions, talent rises.
