Last month I had the privilege of attending the Women in IT Summit and Awards Gala, and I'm still reflecting on the energy, insights, and inspiration that filled those rooms. 🏆

As someone who believes deeply that diverse teams build better technology, events like these aren't just celebrations - they're catalysts for the change our industry needs.

Shaping the Future of Technology

The Summit's theme couldn't have been more fitting. We explored topics that sit at the intersection of innovation and impact:

  • 🔹 Tech for social good - how technology can drive meaningful change in communities
  • 🔹 Emerging frontiers - from the metaverse and Web3 to AI and ESG-centric tech
  • 🔹 Multi-generational teams - building cultures where experience and fresh perspectives thrive together
  • 🔹 Leadership in action - what it really takes to lead transformational change

What struck me most was how every panel, every conversation, came back to a human-first lens. Technology is only as good as the problems it solves and the people it serves.

Celebrating Excellence at the Awards Gala

The highlight was undoubtedly the Awards Gala dinner at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. ✨

We were thrilled to celebrate Yean Ping Yar from Singlife, who emerged as a finalist among an incredibly talented pool of women. As the head of migration leading transformational projects, Yean Ping embodies the kind of leadership that doesn't just execute - it inspires.

A massive congratulations to Yean Ping, the entire Singlife team, and everyone who contributed to this journey. And to all the winners and nominees - you are true role models. Your dedication and hard work inspire all of us to push boundaries and lift others as we climb.

Why This Work Matters

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: diversity in tech isn't a checkbox. It's how we build systems that work for everyone, not just the people in the room when decisions are made.

When we bring together women from different industries, backgrounds, and generations, we don't just share best practices - we challenge assumptions. We ask better questions. We design better solutions.

Events like the Women in IT Summit create the space for that magic to happen. They remind us that we're not alone in this work, and that together, we're building something bigger than any one project or company.

Looking Ahead 🚀

I'm looking forward to continuing our efforts in promoting diversity and supporting the women who are transforming the world of technology. More opportunities for learning, networking, and celebrating the power of what we can build together.

To everyone who attended, organized, and championed this event - thank you. You're proof that when we invest in diverse voices, we all win.

More soon. 🙏
